The two-week festival features six original stage shows and story based performance art pieces as well as a fashion art showcase.
The theme of this year's festival is "Capture The Moment" and the festival organisers are hoping that audiences will get involved with the shows and their artistic process.
Theatre media student and marketing manager for Sprung, Cassandra Miller, said the shows at this year's festival and gave an insight into what audiences can expect from each production.
Plumberman 2519 - The Musical is a comedic romp which follows the story of an alcoholic, spacefaring plumber of the future.
ALSO MAKING NEWS:
"It is a really high energy, jukebox style musical with all original music and eye catching visuals," Ms Miller said.
One Morning in June is a political drama following the US president and his chief of staff following the events of a terrorist attack.
"This play is a bit more punchy and dramatic with a bit of a west wing vibe and a rollercoaster story."
Forget Me Not follows an artist named Sarah who has six months to live and decides to turn her own funeral into a spectacular immersive theatre production.
"It's equal parts hilarious and heart-wrenching and really explores what it means to be human as Sarah decides the last thing she will ever do, turning her own funeral into a theatre event that flies in the face of propriety."
Beyond the Tavern is a fantasy adventure production based on Dungeons and Dragons. This show is a full interactive experience with the audience.
"The story will play out based on the audiences roll of the die transforming the show into a role-playing game as well as an entertaining play," Ms Miller said.
Alongside the stage productions, this year's festival will have two immersive performance art pieces.
Good Mourning is an immersive gallery that illustrates the human emotion of grief in all forms and Class 3/4s, which will give audiences a chance to go back to school.
Class 3/4s will turn the creative hub into an interactive childhood wonderland where the audience can explore play, creativity and art, through the lens of childhood nostalgia.
Sprung will also feature a full fashion showcase entitled Industrial Paradise, designed to explain the design process from fabric to fashion.
