The Hub has joined Specsavers Bathurst's push to collect glasses for a recycling program and will be offering a free regular coffee for those who bring in a usable pair.
Specsavers Bathurst and Lions Recycle for Sight's recycling program sends refurbished spectacles to those in developing communities overseas who need them.

Specsavers Bathurst has a glasses recycling collection box in the store, but The Hub will offer something a bit extra for those who bring in a pair of glasses to the cafe on Tuesday and Wednesday, October 15 and 16.
Nancy Natoli from The Hub said she wanted to get involved because she knows Specsavers Bathurst's Maddy Carrigan and she also knows the recycling program is a good cause.

She said the free coffee will be offered per person, rather than per pair of glasses, and the glasses being brought in for recycling will need to be in good condition.
"It [the free coffee] will be a bit of encouragement," she said.
Mrs Natoli said their free coffee initiative was also thanks to local company Fish River Roasters.
Almost 100 pairs of recyclable glasses have been collected at Specsavers Bathurst since the program began this year.
