Building company Lipman, which has a regional office in Bathurst, collected four Master Builders Association awards recently and one of them was for the Opal Aged Care home.
Lipman regional manager Andrew Middleton said the care home won for its design and use of local trades.
"The building is quite complex and has great build quality," he said.
"Best of all, we re-engineered the build to utilise local business and trade. Almost 80 per cent of the facility was completed using local trades."

One of the deciding factors for Lipman's win was the ability to overcome problems during the development.
"The remediation project for the area was huge," project engineer Shamus Long said.
"We had a lot of rubbish to clear before the building could commence.
"There was about a 22-day period as well where we had some bad weather, but we still managed to finish the project on time and on budget."
Lipman's four awards at the Western Regional awards included commercial builder of the year for 2019.
The 146-bed Opal Aged Care project was named best commercial project with a budget over $15m.
Mr Middleton said the real reward was seeing the development of a pivotal project for the community.
"It's an important service to provide and it's a great place not only to live in, but to work in as well. The care staff have been blown away by the new facility," he said.
The first sod was turned at the site in February 2018 and the project was completed in April this year.
