Held at the Sydney Olympic Park in Homebush, Houston - who is classified as a T20 athlete - won his silver by running a time of 2:21.29 in the Boys 800 Metre Run AMB PARA 16-19.
The 15-year-old's run was quite impressive, considering he missed out on gold to a 17-year-old and finished ahead of an 18-year-old.
Carenne teacher Adam Ryan said he's training has been fantastic.
"He's put a lot of time into his running across the past couple of years and it's paying dividends now," he said.
"He was also 15th overall in the Edgell Jog this year, which is pretty good for a 15-year-old. He might've been the first one to cross the line with a disability too."
Bathurst High student Breanna Fisk - who is classified as a T37 athlete - threw for almost a metre and a half more than her closest rival to win gold in the Girls Discuss Throw AMB PARA 12-15.
She also picked up a bronze in the Girls Shot Put AMB PARA 12-15.
Fellow Bathurst High student Kane Simmons claimed silver in the Boys Javelin Throw 700g 17 years.
And Zen Clark, who is no stranger to gold medals, picked up two - in the Boys 100 Metre Sprint 19 years and the Boys 200 Metre Sprint 19 years.
St Stanislaus College's Jack Lynch also picked up a gold medal, in the Boys 400 Metre Sprint 17 years.
His fellow classmate William Grant also competed in discus but was unable to claim a medal.
Jacinta Windsor, from MacKillop College, also featured at the championships but was unable to finish in the top three in any of her events to claim a medal.
Bathurst High student Aidan Stait also featured but was also unable to win a medal too, finishing eighth in the Boys Shot Put 4kg 15 years event.
