Daffodil Cottage, the recipient of any profits made with this proposal, has always been a community inspired entity.
It is a shining example of a caring community, and shows Bathurst off at its best.
The staff at the cottage, and the various individuals and organisations who give support, are just as inspired in their input.

The council exists to serve the community, and any assets held by the council are ratepayer and community property.
I would suggest that there would be few ratepayers in the Bathurst council area who would be against a substantial discount being given on a block of land for this proposal, or indeed a block at no cost.
I also suggest that it should be an annual event on the same basis.
Bathurst needs organisations such as Daffodil Cottage to be as healthy in financial support as possible.
Even a council member may need their help some time in the future.
