Stephen Furguson Hose, 52, of Vale Road, appeared before Bathurst Local Court.
Police facts outlined how Hose's family members were victims in an incident on December 28 last year involving property damage and an assault by a man known to them.
At about 8pm on Saturday, December 29, Hose and other family members went to an address on College Road in search of the abovementioned man, the police facts said.

When police were called to the address, Hose yelled obscenities in the direction of the police and others at the location.
Police attempted to calm Hose and assure him they were there to resolve the matter, but Hose picked up a concrete plate covering a water main valve and held it above his shoulders.
He said "[expletive] you [expletives], I'm going to kill the [expletives]". Police disarmed Hose, who got angry and held his fists up in front of his face, according to the police facts.
Another police officer at the scene deployed a short burst of capsicum spray, but Hose continued to resist police, thrashing around on the ground until police were able to handcuff him.
He was taken to Bathurst Police Station, where he gave police a false name and an Oberon address, saying he had moved from Western Australia 10 years ago.
Police made inquiries, which revealed a different name and details.
When questioned, Hose said he had given the false name so he "could get the [expletive] out of here faster", according to the police facts.
He said the name he had given was for an old school friend.
For assaulting an officer in the execution of their duty and resisting arrest, Hose was convicted, placed on a community correction order for 18 months and ordered to undertake 75 hours of community service (cumulative).
For giving police a false name, he was convicted and fined $400.
