According to the Bureau of Meteorology, there is a little bit of rain coming the region's way on Saturday.
The rainy conditions are expected to continue through to Sunday, where as much as 15mm is predicted to fall. There is also up to 3mm forecast for Monday.
However, the rain won't do anything to boost the October rainfall figure, which will fall well short of the long-term average with just two dry days left.
The city has received just 13.2 millimetres of rain this month, while the long-term average for Bathurst is 59mm.
The wettest day of the month was last Saturday, October 26, where 8.2mm was recorded.
Prior to the rain, Chifley Dam was at 44.4 per cent capacity.
Bathurst Regional Council took its weekly reading on Tuesday, which revealed that the dam level had dropped to 43.4 per cent.
The lowest the dam level has been since the wall was raised was 41 per cent, which was recorded more than a decade ago in June 2003.
