The doors were swung open and members of the community were welcome to join the team for a day of activities and delicious food.
For those who wanted to discover what aged care is really like and get a simple explanation of the fees and charges, the RFBI Bathurst Masonic Village team also held an information session and conducted guided tours.
The team also celebrated retirement residents' gardening skills and announced the winner of the Spring Garden Festival.
"It was a great day to have all our residents, families, staff and visitors together," general manager Helen Armstrong said.
"We find that our open days are beneficial for those who want to ask any questions and get to know our staff and residents a bit better."
RFBI Village communities in NSW and the ACT opened their doors and gardens across September and October for what was described as one of the state's "largest garden parties".
