TWO talented Bathurst dancers this week joined a mass rehearsal for the 2019 Schools Spectacular as the countdown to opening night continues.

Denison College students Lily Cole (Bathurst High) and Mia Ryan (Kelso High) are both featured dancers in this year's Spectacular, which has drawn performers from across the state.
In a Schools Spectacular first, about 1000 performers gathered at Sydney's Qudos Bank Arena on Monday to rehearse the show's finale, joined by more than 4000 performers who registered for a live online video link.

Together they went through the paces of the iconic finale recognised as the jewel in the crown of the Schools Spectacular.
Co-executive producer Rosemary Davis was delighted by the how well the rehearsal came together.
"It was the best ever," Ms Davis said. "Everyone was just amazing and there was an exciting energy with every performance.
"The success of the rehearsal is a great start and a huge motivation as the pace of practice gathers momentum for schools and ensembles.
"We're very excited how the show is coming together."
The 2019 Schools Spectacular brings together 40 featured performers, a 100-piece symphony orchestra, stage band, 2700-voice choir, 2300 dancers, the D'Arts Ensemble disability program, the Aboriginal Dance Company, puppets and an indispensable behind-the-scenes team.
The four Schools Spectacular performances will be at Qudos Bank Arena at Sydney's Olympic Park on Friday, November 22 (11am and 7.30pm) and Saturday, November 23 (1pm and 7.30pm).
