Bathurst's comfortable six wicket win over Lachlan on Sunday afternoon saw them lock down the title but it was the two run win earlier in the day over Dubbo which was the real talking point.
Dubbo looked certain to chase down Bathurst's total of 119 with just three runs required in the final over of the Twenty20 game but a clutch performance with the ball from Angus Parsons saved the day.
A bye on the first ball was all Dubbo could muster as Parsons delivered five successive dot balls to secure an exciting win.
However, Parsons' magic over would not have been possible if not for the efforts of Tom Lynch (38) and Cooper Brien (35) with the bat.
The pair of wins gave coach Clint Bryant his fourth title with the team over the past six years, and when looking back on the journey for his team up to under 16s he couldn't be prouder of what they've achieved.
"There's seven of the boys in this team who have been there over the six years that I've coached this side," he said.
"Over six years, winning four competitions and losing the other two in grand finals, is a really great effort."
Brien and Harry Noonan (14 not out) added valuable runs for Bathurst in the closing overs against Dubbo, taking the team from 7-66 up to their final total of 119.
Accuracy with the ball played a big part in the result - Bathurst only bowled 10 extras to Dubbo's 23.
"For a side at that age group and that level, that number shouldn't be happening," Bryant said of the Dubbo figure.
"Dubbo needed 16 runs off the last two overs and got 12 off the second last one which really put us under the pump.
"Angus Parsons is probably the best death bowler in Bathurst at this age group. Tom Coady, who's an Australian junior representative, was on strike but he took a single off a bye and Gussy bowled five dots."
Parsons finished with leading figures of 2-14 but his great day didn't end with the Dubbo game.
He led the way with figures of 3-9 off his four overs against Lachlan, while Blake Kreuzberger (37) and Tom Judge (29) did the most work with the willow.
Lachlan scored 9-94 and Bathurst chased it down with four overs in hand.
The final round of the competition takes place on December 1, with Bathurst having the bye but being too far ahead for any rival to catch them.
