Having spent the past three years steering one of the Kelly Racing Nissan Altimas, De Silvestro has landed a test and development driver role with Porsche's Formula E squad.
While excited about that new opportunity, she is eager to find room in her new schedule to allow her to return to the Supercars series as a co-driver for the Enduro Cup. That could allow her to fulfil her ambition of having a 'proper crack' in the Great Race.
She has tackled the Mount Panorama classic five times - twice as part of a wildcard entry and three times as a member of the full-time grid.
She made her debut in 2015 steering a Tickford Falcon, while her following appearances were in an Altima.
Her best effort was a pair of 14th placings in 2016 and 2018.
"Bathurst, to be able to contest that five times is awesome. When I look back on my career to be have been able to be there so many times is pretty cool," she said.
"[But] I think I have got a lot of experience and I'd love to come back and do the enduros.
"It's part of my plan. Right now the focus is really going to be on Porsche and what I'm doing with them with the Formula E program I'm really involved and with the GT program as well.
"It depends how that all fits in, but hopefully I can come back because I really want a proper crack at Bathurst. We'll try to put everything together to make that happen."
