Grace Camenzuli, Myf Fox-Allan and Evie Hawkins, from Bathurst South Public, have raised over $400 for the animal shelter by selling their scrunchies, at the bargain price of $2 each of three for $5.
Evie Hawkins, said the girls started sewing scrunchies at Myf's sleepover birthday party.
"We were making them for fun," she said.

Then at school the students were talking about different fundraisers, and Myf, Grace and Evie decided to step it up a notch and make scrunchies to sell for the animal shelter. They sewed consistently through the school holidays and made 150, which sold out within minutes at a school stall.
They've since been making more, which they plan to sell at the pop up vintage markets on Sunday. So far they raised $417 and plan to keep doing what they can to help out.
Kim Shaw from Animal Rescue thanked the girls and said the donation was awesome.
The charity which relies solely on fundraising and donations to exist is currently housing 73 animals in care, including a pregnant mother cat.
