WITH all the discussions about water wastage and a massive lack of our precious resource, I still don't understand why we haven't focused on targeting those who are putting bores on their properties and misusing and abusing this drought.

Why are homes with bores allowed to run their sprinklers seven days a week to water lawns and gardens while those without can't?

I understand they're not using our town water supply, but what we have underground should be for emergency use only and not to be abused.
There are many places and towns which have their bores running dry, but our council and government won't put a stop to the rich, fortunate ones who can afford to tap into our underground storage.
Wake up, government - when it's gone, it's gone.
Make a change now before it's too late yet again and we really run dry.
