A WOMAN has been charged with robbery in company and supplying a prohibited drug after a man was allegedly stabbed in the city's central business district earlier this month.

The woman was arrested by police on Monday afternoon following extensive investigations, which remain ongoing.
Chifley Police District crime manager Detective Chief Inspector Luke Rankin said police also expect further charges to be laid against other suspects in relation to the matter in coming days.
Detective Chief Inspector Rankin said detectives attached to Chifley Police District executed a crime scene warrant at a dwelling in Rankin Street, Bathurst at about 3pm on Monday, December 16.

"During the warrant investigators seized a vehicle and other items," he said.
"A 26-year-old woman was arrested and conveyed to the Bathurst police station where she was later charged with robbery in company and supply prohibited drugs."
He said police would allege the stabbing occurred during the robbery in the Bathurst CBD. Police allege the accused woman was one of the robbers.
Chifley police launched an investigation after the incident late on Saturday, December 7.
Police say the victim had been drinking at a local hotel and had left the premises.
He walked about 50 metres down William Street when the alleged robbery occurred.
Police and paramedics were called to the scene around midnight after the victim called for help on Triple-0 from his own phone after the incident.
He was treated at the scene before being transported to Bathurst Base Hospital.
The victim was treated in hospital for non-life threatening injuries and was released from hospital later on Sunday morning.
Following the incident, police made a public appeal for information from anyone who witnessed the stabbing or the circumstances leading to it.
The accused woman was conditionally bailed to appear before the Bathurst Local Court on January 7, 2020.
