For some, the results were a welcome surprise while for others, it was a sigh of relief that a stressful year of study was finally at an end.
Charlie Lew said he couldn't have asked for anything better with his results, scoring Band 6's in chemistry, advanced maths, extension 1 maths, PD/health/PE and physics.
"It was a difficult period of study, but I'm satisfied with the effort I've put in over the last two years," Charlie said.
"If I could provide any advice for future HSC students, knuckle down in class and learn everything you can."
Charlie hopes to head off to the University of NSW to study either chemical or environmental engineering.
For Olive Watch, her results turned out a lot better than she expected.
"I nearly scored a Band 6 in society and culture and my result in advanced English was a nice surprise considering how challenging the assessments were," Olive said.
"While it's easy to overly stress about the exams, the key is to stay calm and try not to overthink it."
Olive will head to the University of Woolongong to do a double degree in psychology and criminology.
Meanwhile, Jedd Scott was satisfied with a positive haul of Band 4's and 5's.
"I found the trials harder than the actual HSC, so I felt more relaxed heading into the real deal," Jedd said.
"The HSC may sound like a daunting task at first, but it gets better."
Jedd is set to undertake a full-time dance course in Sydney next year.
Bathurst High Campus principal Ken Barwick said he was proud of the school's overall HSC results.
"We've got more Band 6's this year than the previous two years and I'm proud of all the hard work students have put in to their exams," Mr Barwick said.
"The HSC rewards those who put in a committed effort, and there's a promising trend across the college of students taking on the challenge of more difficult courses.
"It's also pleasing to see so many of our graduates receive early entry into university and I have no doubt they will do themselves and Bathurst High proud into the future."
