From Wednesday, Bathurst RSL Club will waive its sign in rules to help the community's most vulnerable.
"The Bathurst RSL Club has decided to waive sign in rules for those people who live within the 15-kilometre radius of the club from Wednesday until Sunday, to provide refuge from the harsh conditions," the club has said.
"We will review the situation again on Monday, December 23."
Bathurst Panthers is also making changes to help people who are elderly or have respiratory problems.
"You are very welcome to come in to the club to sit, play our board games, read the paper or watch TV, just to help you out," the club said on Tuesday.
"You do not have to be a member just to do this."
Panthers will determine at a later date when this offer will end.
As of Tuesday, the Bureau of Meteorology predicts a top of 35 degrees on Wednesday, twin tops of 39 degrees on Thursday and Friday, a scorching 42 degrees on Saturday and 37 degrees on Sunday.
In addition to hot temperatures, Bathurst has been, and is set to continue, experiencing poor air quality due to smoke from fires.
