February 1: An ambitious vision for the future of Mount Panorama had come to life thanks to an ex-Bathurst boy who now has his own architecture practice in Brisbane. Glanmire farmer Jim Inwood and architect Blair McFarland had combined to create detailed plans for a four-level facility that would be the "crowning glory" on Brock's Skyline.

February 2: Mayor Graeme Hanger had the pleasure of welcoming legendary Australian driver Mark Webber to Bathurst as the Bathurst 12-Hour returned to Mount Panorama.
February 4: A crowd of 15,000 is anticipated when global superstar Sir Elton John brings his farewell tour to Bathurst's Carrington Park in January 2020. After months of behind-the-scenes preparations, the news of Sir Elton's Bathurst gig had finally become official.
February 5: Motor racing legend Craig Lowndes was officially recognised as an honorary citizen of Bathurst at the opening of a new exhibition celebrating his outstanding achievements in the sport. The exhibition featured many iconic mementos from Lowndes' almost three decade long motor racing career.
February 6: With the Bathurst community still buzzing from the announcement that Sir Elton John would be playing a concert at Carrington Park, one of the city's biggest Elton fans, Andy Wheeler, was planning to have a brand new suit ready for the occasion.
February 7: It was revealed that more than $130 million in new construction had been approved during the last financial year by Bathurst Regional Council, while the number of units was down on five years ago.
February 8: Bathurst Regional Council's strained relationship with the Bathurst Wiradyuri Elders over planned developments for Mount Panorama appeared to only be getting worse with one councillor claiming the group was using site cards - which indicate a claim of an area of cultural significance - to "antagonise" council.
February 9: Bathurst's new ambulance station was finished and ready for the commissioning process.
February 11: Drivers weren't the only ones frustrated by the disruptive work on a replacement roundabout at the intersection of George and Howick streets, with nearby businesses saying they were suffering financially during the construction period.
February 12: As Bathurst Local Court lists continued to blow out, there were calls for a full-time magistrate to be appointed to the city. On Monday, February 11, there were 126 matters listed before magistrate Cate Follent. The court was sitting well beyond 6pm on some days just to get through the cases.
February 13: A Bathurst Public School parent feared students were at risk of being seriously injured as they made their way to school because their designated school crossings weren't supervised. Stephen Rogers said he had seen two near misses as drivers failed to stop for children.
February 14: A teenager died in a single vehicle crash on the outskirts of Bathurst. The 18-year-old driver died at the scene after losing control of the car on the Eleven Mile Drive.
February 16: A new system had been developed in Bathurst that could take the pressure off farmers in times of drought. Destiny Ag was developing and selling hydroponic fodder-growing systems that allowed graziers to feed their stock fresh fodder, regardless of temperature, soil moisture or ground cover.
February 18: Bathurst-born entertainer Ainsley Melham was in New York preparing to make his Broadway debut in the production of Disney's Aladdin. Ainsley had been cast to play the title role.
February 20: Bathurst MP Paul Toole announced a second daily Bathurst Bullet service would be up and running by the end of the year to complement the Bathurst Bullet service that has been running since 2012.
February 21: A man who dragged a stranger off a Bathurst street before subjecting her to an horrific sexual assault and threatening to kill her had successfully appealed to have his sentenced reduced. Alan Simmons could be released from jail as early as August 1, 2025 after having three years taken off his 18-year sentence.
February 22: A man accused of sexually assaulting two young girls in his care almost 10 years ago had all nine charges against him withdrawn and dismissed. On the third day of a trial in the Bathurst District Court, the Director of Public Prosecution directed no further action be taken in relation to the allegations.
February 23: The upgrade to the George Street roundabout continued to cause angst among business owners, who said there had been a lack of consultation and consideration for their business interests.
February 25: With so many vacant shopfronts around the central business district, a resident had called on Bathurst Regional Council to do more to support them.
February 26: It was revealed residents were unlikely to see a massive overhaul of Centennial Park for years. Bathurst Regional Council had adopted the landscape design for the park, but not without a series of questions from councillors about the timeline for the project.
February 27: Two of Bathurst's candidates for the state election had shown their support for keeping the Panorama Clinic open 365 days a year.
February 28: Raglan residents were becoming increasingly frustrated that Bathurst Regional Council had allowed public spaces to become overgrown.
