After back-to-back away defeats away from home to start 2020, Cranston-Lown and his Regis University College team-mates will return to their own court on Friday night hungry to notch up a win.
They will host South Dakota at Regis Field House, a venue at which the Rangers have four-and-two record this season.
The Rangers began the new year on the road, taking on New Mexico Highlands last Friday in Las Vegas. When Cranston-Lown, who is in his freshman year, sunk a three-pointer two-and-a-half minutes in the second half, it looked as if his side was headed for an upset win over the defending Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tournament champions.
It gave the Rangers a 12-point advantage.

But New Mexico lifted and emerged 85-76 victors from a game which had 14 lead changes and was locked up on eight occasions.
A day later in Pueblo when being hosted by Colorado State University, the Rangers also went down in a tight contest.
Cranston-Lown and his team-mates were within two points of the lead with 47 seconds left, but the ThunderWolves held their nerve to win 78-74.
The Bathurst native scored eight points across those two games, shooting at 61.5 percent.
