BATHURST cyclist Kalinda Robinson has further enhanced her record as one of Australia's brightest young track cycling prospects by taking out the female honours in the 2019-20 Cycling NSW Sprint Grand Prix series.

Having claimed gold in the team sprint, sprint and scratch races at the 2020 Oceania Track Cycling Championships, Robinson carried good form into the series.
It was good form she built on.
Across the three rounds at Sydney's Dunc Gray Velodrome, Robinson won eight of her nine match races and two of her three finals to post a dominant series win.
"It's just a great opportunity for all the sprinters from New South Wales and across the country to get together and practice sprint racing before states and nationals," Robinson told Cycling NSW.
"It's kind of the only sprint racing we get, which makes it really good practice for us."

Each round began with a 200 metres time trial - Robinson always ranking in the top three fastest females - before riders were pitted against those who clocked similar times in 750 metre match races.
Robinson led the series heading into Saturday's final round and in the flying 200 she clocked a 11:558 seconds effort to be the second quickest female.
The 16-year-old enjoyed a clean sweep of her match races - two of which were against male riders - to earn a place in the decider alongside Victoria's Alessia McCaig.
McCaig was Robinson's Australian team-mate when they clocked a 500 metres Oceania record. While she lost her earlier match race to the Bathurst talent, she won the final.
Still, it was good enough for Robinson to seal the series win.
