Brucedale is one of the oldest family-owned properties in Australia.
The Suttor family have been welcoming people to their lawns for a public concert and picnic for well over 30 years now, and are pleased to be offering the venue again.
The Brucedale Twilight Concert and Picnic is co-ordinated by Bathurst Arts Council.
This very special event is the highlight of the Bathurst region's music calendar our major fundraiser of the year.
Proceeds raised from the concert each year go towards funding the council's Youth Arts Awards, the Bathurst Eisteddfod and Bathurst Arts Trail, providing important support for emerging local talent.
Sit back and relax and listen to the music as the sun slowly sets into the distant hills. Performances are staged on the veranda of the historic house.
Playing this year at Brucedale are Tin, Pipe and String, a collaboration between some very talented musicians and singer.
Seor Cabrales, who came together in Bathurst when a strolling bouzouki player arrived in town and met some local musicians.
Mitchell String Theory, are the Mitchell Conservatorium professional String Ensemble.
The Perthvillians, a local band who love to sing jazz, pop & folk tunes will also be there.
Bring a picnic supper, rug or chair. There will be coffee and tea available for a gold coin donation.
Tickets to the concert are available at the gate.
Admission prices are $25 for adults, $20 for concession (including Bathurst Arts Council members), or $40 for a family of two adults and two children.
The organisers will monitor weather conditions and if it's raining the concert will be cancelled. If in doubt on the day, please call 0429 202 401 or 0409 312 768.
I've been to this wonderful event a number of times and it never fails to deliver pure magic.
I'll be there again this year to help on the gate before I head up to the house for a glass of wine and listen to the beautiful music.
If you haven't been already, you will love it. And if you have been to the concert before, please come back - you are certain to love it all over again.
