Begonia House, one of Bathurst's best-kept secrets, opened to the public on Monday for the first time in almost a year.
Mayor Bobby Bourke said there is a varied display in the house this year.
"The collection of begonias on display include over 70 various hybrids of the larger flowered uprights and more than 10 various hybrids of pendulous or basket type begonias," he said.
"In addition, there are also over 15 varieties of foliage begonias that form part of the Begonia House display."

It comes after months of work behind the scenes by Bathurst Regional Council's parks and gardens staff.
After being placed in the greenhouse, they are watered at the start of October to initiate the growth season.
At four leaves high, the tubers are placed into display size pots in a soil mixture.
"At the beginning of the season the pots are watered individually and almost allowed to dry out between watering. So that the plants reach their potential, it is important that the flower buds are removed up until early January," Cr Bourke said.
"Spare shoots and side shoots are also removed then they are tied and staked regularly for support and the flower side buds are removed."
Cr Bourke said the house is "must-see" for visitors.
"Machattie Park features some of the most picturesque and iconic gardens in the region," he said. "The Begonia House in particular has become an icon and a yearly must-see for residents and visitors alike."
Begonia House will be open until the end of April. People can visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Friday, or from 11am to 3pm on weekends.
