Rangers went down 87-71 to Western Colorado University last Friday and the following day were bested 72-69 by Colorado Mesa University, putting the team in a tricky position with just three matches remaining.
The top eight teams in the competition will make the championship bracket but the back-to-back defeats leave Regis University in ninth place with a 9-10 conference record.
Freshman Cranston-Lown enjoyed a solid performance in the defeat to Colorado Mesa. He shot two of four from three point range, finished with 12 points along with a block, a steal and zero turnovers.
Rangers return home for their next two games but they'll be tough affairs.
The first clash this Saturday morning (Australian time) will be against conference leaders Dixie State - who are currently the 15th ranked college across the entire NCAA Division II system.
Rangers face higher ranked Westminster College on the following day but the Regis men did record a win over the same opponent when they played at Salt Lake City back in January.
An upset in one of those two clashes could reignite the Rangers' hopes with a game in hand.
