While Bathurst may have come up short in its fourth and final match in the Proctor Park Challenge on Sunday, coach Phil Bromhead was full on praise of his under 15s side.

After opening its campaign on Saturday with a 1-0 win over Macarthur rams, Bathurst continued its good form with a 2-0 win over Harrington United later in the day.
However, Football South Coast ended Bathurst's undefeated run with a 3-1 win in the third and final match on Saturday.
On Sunday, Bathurst went into its crucial match against Wagga City Wanderers knowing a win might still see them finish top of the five-team pool.
But it wasn't to be for the local girls, with goals from Jade Emms, Francesca Scott and Tamara Cochrane delivering a comprehensive 3-0 win for the Wanderers.
Coach Phil Bromhead said he couldn't more prouder of the effort his players put in, considering the short time span of recruiting and training.
"As always, we get these girls from all over place in the last couple of weeks, between when school starts and now," he said.
"We throw them together, stick them out there and you get half that knew each other from last year and you get newbies in there too.
"You can't fault them. You couldn't be more prouder."
The first real chance in the match fell the way of the Wanderers five minutes in, with a shot going across goal but out for corner after taking a touch off a Bathurst defender.
Two minutes later, Amy Parker saw the ball in space and put the burners on for it, but Wanderers keeper Mischa Northeast got to the ball just in time.
A minute later the Wanderers snatch the lead.
Scott shot from distance, which was fumbled by Bathurst keeper Laura McKee, with Cochrane scoring what was a tap-in and the Wanderers took that 1-0 to the break.
Bathurst put on some good pressure in the opening minutes of the second half and came close to equalising the match through Parker.
However, seven minutes into the second half, Emms had a shot from outside the box which found the back of the net and the Wanderers were up 2-0.
The last goal came off literally the last play of the game, with Scott scoring from the edge of the box to give the Wanderers a solid 3-0 win.
Regardless of the defeat, Bromhead couldn't fault his girls' performance, considering the amount of games they played.
"They always give you 110 per cent and that's all you can ask for," he said.
"These 15s girls are also backing up for the 17s, so yesterday they played six games and at least two more on Sunday.
"So for 15-year-old girls playing eight games in 24 hours is a big effort."
