Couple Nick North and Hollee Simons were winners of the men's and women's races on handicap, while North also doubled up with the fastest overall time and Simons finished with the second quickest time in the women's standings.
North's overall time of 48:45 - almost eight minutes clear of runner-up Tim Miller - was still the leading time after handicap adjustments. His handicap time of 1:15:58 was 37 seconds ahead of second-placed James Kelly.
The women's race was a contender for battle of the season between Simons and Peta Cutler.
Simons made up ground on the run but Cutler would win by four seconds in a time of 56:18.
The handicap time of 1:18:35 from Simons was good enough to see off a challenge in the standings from Anna Blackie (1:19:24).
Simons, who started ahead of Cutler, knew that when her Ironman World Championship-bound rival crossed the line behind her that the overall times were going to be close.
"It was nice to be separated from Peta because it gave us a chance to focus on our own race and not get caught up in that," she said.
"It was exciting when I saw that gap at the end because I knew it was going to be close. It was a nailbiting couple of hours waiting for the results to come out.
"I started one minute ahead, and that's a fair way. She can't see me up the road and I can't see her. It's a really fun event putting everyone on the same playing field."
Simons and North fought hard for bragging rights.
"Last time I had a 12 minute start but this time I only had six minutes on Nick so we had a friendly competition between the both of us," she said.
"I think the mind games started on Friday we started offering each other ice-cream."
