Announced at the NSW Cycling Track Championships last weekend, Eliza Bennett was named the 2019 Under 19s NSW Cyclist of the Year, while clubmate Kalinda Robinson received the 2019 Under 17s NSW Cyclist of the Year award.
Bennett is currently taking a break from cycling, so she said there were some mixed feelings when she received the award.
"It was definitely humbling and it was an honour to get that award," he said.
"There were some mixed feelings to get that award, as I am on a bit of break from cycling. I forgot about all the stuff I've done the past year, but it's still an honour to get recognised.
"It's got a bit intense and I just needed a bit of time off and to focus on school [because of the HSC], it's important for me this year."
Bennett - who is currently in year 12 at MacKillop College - has been cycling for over 10 years now and acknowledged the input from both her coach Marian Renshaw and her parents across her career.
She had an extremely successful 2019 - which is of no surprise of course, as she is the 2019 Under 19s NSW Cyclist of the Year - winning her first individual Cycling Australia track nationals gold medal, as well winning four golds and a silver at the Cycling NSW Under 19s Track Championships.
Fellow MacKillop College student Robinson has also enjoyed a successful 2019, so she was definitely feeling the excitement when she was named the Under 17s NSW Cyclist of the Year.
It was definitely humbling and it was an honour to get that award.

"It was definitely exciting. There's quite a few girls in my age group that were all very competitive," she said.
Robinson found success at the Oceania Track Championships in October 2019, winning three gold medals, a silver and bronze and breaking two Oceania records.
She also won gold at the Junior Road National Championships, which was her first road cycling national gold medal.
And at the State Track Cycling Championships just over a year ago, Robinson won six medals, including four gold, a silver and a bronze.
Only on Friday did Robinson compete at this year's edition of the NSW Under 19s State Track Cycling Championships, with Robinson winning two golds from as many events, a time trial and a scratch race.
The year 11 student said she's been cycling since a young age, saying she enjoys good at fast speeds.
"I've been cycling since I was in kindergarten," she said.
"I just like going fast, it's fun. I also enjoy the atmosphere, everyone training together."
And at the NSW Masters Track Championships back on February 13-16, Rosemary Hastings was named the women's Masters Under-Nine Cyclist of the Year, meaning four Bathurst cyclists have reward a cyclist of the year award.
