The decision to suspended the weekly five kilometre-long event was made due to the ongoing coronavirus situation.
Australia was one of 17 countries to have all its parkrun events cancelled until the end of the month, including New Zealand too, with the decision handed down at 6am on Wednesday morning.
Other parkruns in the Central West region to be affected include Orange, Lithgow, Cowra, Mudgee, Dubbo and Narromine.
Parkrun global head of communications Russ Jeffreys said via a statement online that updates will be provided daily.
"We are all committed to doing the right thing and fully understand the incredible responsibility we have in guiding parkrun through this challenge," he said.
