Hanrahan had accumulated seven 'power points' through the season based on his performance at Central West Inter Club Triathlon Series, which was enough to give him a comfortable win in the Bathurst race for the top.
The news comes after Triathlon NSW put out a statement on Thursday morning stating that they would withdraw all sanctioning from events and races on their calendar until April 30 due to the coronavirus outbreak.
"The decision was made by the Triathlon Australia Board at an extraordinary meeting on Tuesday 17th March in order to mitigate the spread of the virus. We are undertaking all necessary steps to ensure the health and safety of all members and participants," the statement read.
Darren Fenton finished in second place for the MVP race on four points while Will Kelly and Jamie Rivett had a share of third place on 3.5 points.
Hanrahan said the win was a pleasant surprise.
"I didn't really go in with any intentions of winning an MVP title. I just tried to make my way to every event possible, which I did, and I've managed to win my age group in a couple of those races to earn max points," he said.
"There's nothing lined up for me now. I'll reassess through winter once the weather turns around and hopefully all viruses have been killed off."
