While it has undoubtedly been a difficult time for businesses, with many seeing reduced customers or being forced to shut due to coronavirus, the Kelso bakery's patronage has increased.
It's a positive sign for the new business, which only opened in October.
"We've been quite busy, a little busier than normal," owner Lauren Mason said.
"It is definitely reassuring."
With demand so high, the bakery is now open seven days a week after adding an extra day of trade on Sunday, between 8am and 1pm.
Mrs Mason said the decision was primarily about giving people more time for to get into the bakery for what they need.
Bread has been the most popular item.
"We've had to double our bread every day and people are after family pies as well," Mrs Mason said.
While people can walk in off the street, they are encouraged to pre-order to be sure the bakery has what they want.
Mrs Mason thanked the community for continuing to support Bakehouse on the Boulevard
