The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Bathurst is steady at nine, while there are 36 across in total the Western NSW Local Health District.
Bathurst Hospital general manager Cathy Marshall took to social media overnight to plead with community members to listen to government messages on restrictions.
"Our community is at the heart of what they do, but right now, they need you to stay at home," she said.
"We're going to be working long, hard hours to take care of people who become sick from COVID-19 so we need every single person on our team to be healthy.
"If you live in or around Bathurst, please stay at home unless there's an absolutely essential reason for you to leave."
Ms Marshall said health district staff are working very hard to contain cases of the virus and the public can play a big part in helping it not to spread.
"We need to break the transmission of COVID-19 and only you can help do that," she said.
