Mr Whittaker, 48, of Kelso, had been charged with four counts of stalking, harassment and intimidation causing fear of physical harm and four counts of larceny.
He indicated from the outset that he would be defending the allegations.

Bathurst Local Court magistrate Catherine Follent marked all eight charges against Mr Whittaker as withdrawn and dismissed.
Solicitor Shane Cunningham, representing Mr Whiittaker, also made a cost application during Wednesday's proceedings. The cost application remains part-heard following submissions from Mr Cunningham.
The Crown will make its cost argument in Bathurst Local Court on Wednesday, April 15.
