The initiative encourages everyone to take a moment of self-care and revitalisation, but also to "take" a moment and capture an image to share that special moment with the community. Bathurst Library members have access to thousands of eBooks, eAudiobooks, eMagazines, film streaming and much more. But those who aren't already a member don't have to miss out. Residents in the Bathurst region can sign up to become a temporary eMember and enjoy the same options. The temporary membership can then be transferred to a permanent membership when the library doors are open again.
Bathurst Regional Art Gallery: Have you ever wanted to design your own town? What does your dream home or shop look like? Join in the collaborative digital collage Sim City: BRAG Town. Design your own home, park, shop or other parts of a town to form part of a digital city layout of Bathurst Town Square, viewable on the BRAG website. Mayfield Garden, between Bathurst and Oberon, has made the decision to close to discourage visitors from coming to the region during the coronavirus crisis. Anyone who has purchased tickets for the forthcoming Autumn Festival will be contacted by management.
Bathurst Regional Council is inviting community organisations to apply for funding from the 2020 ClubGRANTS Scheme. The program allows registered clubs with annual gaming machine revenue exceeding $1 million to apply a percentage of their gaming machine revenue to community development and support projects. Projects in the following categories may qualify for category one funding:
- Community welfare and social services.
- Community development.
- Community health services.
- Employment assistance activities.

Bathurst Library: Are you a family history fanatic? Do you normally use Bathurst Library to access Ancestry.com? Ancestry.com and Bathurst Library are working together to offer Bathurst Library members temporary home access during the COVID-19 closure. Log into your library account via the library's catalogue and scroll down to the Family History Ancestry link.

Photography competition: Regional Development Australia Central West has announced the return of the Central West Is Best photography competition. The theme for 2020 is hometown pride - icons of the Central West. Follow the RDA Central West social media and see if your photos are featured with the hashtags #centralwestisbestphotocomp and #rdacentralwest. Entries open Monday, April 6 and will close at 5pm on Friday, May 8. Entry is free and open to all ages and photographic abilities, as long as you live in the Central West. T.arts Gallery: The George Street gallery, which has temporarily closed, has its pieces online for purchase. Also, any locals who see anything through the window that interests them are asked to contact the gallery. The window will be kept updated.
Central West Women's Health Centre: The Rainbow Express, a series of creative workshops where LGBTIQA+ young folk can meet, make, and share, has gone online. The group is overseen by Central West Women's Health Centre and facilitated by Karen Golland, CJ Baldry and Hannah Cheers. For more information, call 6331 4133 or email healthed@cwwhc.org.au. Bathurst Legacy says it has stopped selling its raffle tickets in front of the Bathurst Shopping Centre in William Street until further notice due to the government's coronavirus restrictions. The tickets were being sold on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Sales will resume when Department of Health advice says it is safe to do so.
