Before the pandemic brought a halt to soccer across Australia, Central West star Grant had been enjoying another brilliant season for Sydney FC.
The defender "renowned for his haircut and marauding runs up the right flank" is a man that sydneyfc.com says is "one of the first names on the team sheet" each week.
Grant played in 17 of the 20 games competition front runners Sydney FC completed before the shutdown, with his high workload again a feature of his play.
Not only has he shone in defence - he boasts a 72 percent tackle success, completed 35 clearances, made seven blocks and 25 interceptions - but he has posed an attacking threat as well.
The 29-year-old has delivered 52 crosses from open play, has four assists and holds an 84.1 percent passing accuracy.
According to sydneyfc.com his season highlight thus far was in round two against Wellington when "he scored a stunning flicked effort" to seal a 2-1 win.
But for now Grant is happy to recommend television selections such as the Tiger King series.
"The different story lines and they things popped up was just crazy and very eccentric. It was very interesting," he said.
