The pair have not just been playing a high level of cricket over the season gone, but they've been doing it consistently against older players with more experience.
When you look at their resumes it's not hard to see why they were picked.
Black, who moved to Bathurst from Wellington just over a year ago, has even managed to find her way into representative sides three years above her age group.
At just 12-years-old earlier this season Black was selected for the ACT/NSW Country under 15s squad for the 2020 Female National Championships in Canberra.
On a local level Black kept herself incredibly busy over the season with 24 matches, notching up some huge personal highlights in the process.
Black scored two unbeaten half centuries at under 13s level for Bushrangers then scored 63 at a senior level during a President's Cup clash. She finished the under 13s season with a batting average of 53.
Over at the recent Sydney Under 15s Women's Premier Competition Black ended her four games with an average of 106.
The good times also carried over to representative level, where Black recorded 50 not out at the Under 15s Women's Country Championships.
Brien also enjoyed an excellent season at club level as he brought up three half centuries for St Pat's Old Boys in their strong Bathurst Orange Inter District Cricket campaign, including a season high 77 in the semi-finals.
The most damage done by Brien was in the ISA Division One season for Saint Stanislaus' College.
Brien finished the year with an average of 60.6, clubbing a season high of 137 not out early in the competition before scoring another century (103) later on.
He was also a half centurion at the Under 16s State Challenge in January, scoring a team-high 51 for the Country Thunder in their final game of the tournament.
Bathurst District Junior Cricket Association president Stephen Cain said the talented duo have continued their impressive development in 2019-20.
"They both did a great job in their respective competitions," he said.
"This is Callee's second year living in Bathurst now but even last season she was coming over from Wellington on Saturdays to play in the Bathurst competition.
"She's going great guns. Now she's been getting coached by Andrew Litchfield over in Orange, Phoebe's dad, which is fantastic for her.
"And Cooper's been amazing. He's done well across all competitions, as well as his school ones in ISA. They're both great ambassadors for the game in Bathurst."
While junior competitions were unfortunately unable to be completed due to the coronavirus Cain said the season as a whole was a strong one for the district.
"We had good numbers again and that was great to see," he said.
"The new formats in junior cricket makes it a lot quicker for the youngest players, and they're aimed at getting all players involved in a game. That makes a big difference to keeping kids involved in the sport."
