Originally slated for an August launch, the production has been tentatively scheduled for the second and third weekend of November.
"If restrictions on COVID-19 ease, we're hoping to have rehearsals under way by early August," director Sam English said.
"We've put a fantastic cast together, and we're planning to do a read through of the script via online conferencing in early June to get everyone into the spirit of the show."
The cast includes Rose McPhail in the title role of Cinderella, Alex Vidler as the Fairy Godmother, George Sargent as Prince Christopher and Helen Taylor as the Stepmother.
Mr English said the postponement will allow more time for the cast and crew to hone the production and ensure prospective audiences receive a quality show.
"We now have more time to think about our sets and costumes, so we'll wait and see what comes of the COVID-19 situation over the next few months," Mr English said.
"The local entertainment schedule may be crowded if thing start to go back to normal at the end of the year, but we'll do the best we can to push through."
