The Fly Like An Eagle gelding broke his rivals hearts in Wednesday night's Bathurst RSL Club Pace (2,260 metres) by recording a casual opening half at the head of the pack before running away with ease.
Chasing The Wind ($1.45 favourite) found the front quickly from gate five and crossed to the pegs before the first turn had even arrived.
From there Turnbull was able to ride out a 63 second opening half - a slow pace which was enough to send warning alarms to the other drivers.
It saw several runners offer a challenge to the leader in the early stages of the bell lap but Chasing The Wind's energy reserves were fully stocked.
The mile rate was 1:58.9.
Turnbull said her gelding was a Breeders Challenge-worthy runner but the regionalisation restrictions have put those plans on the backburner.
"He used to get a bit lost whenever he'd get too far in front and he wouldn't know what to do, so I'd try and wait as long as I could. Now he's starting to go away from them which is good," she said.
"He would have got ready for the Breeders Challenge and races like that but he'll probably just go for a break because there's not much out here for him now."
In the race for the minors, Doug Hewitt drove Angel Shark ($23) to the runner-up position while Ashlee Grives had a surprise third place finish with the big-priced Lavros Midas Touch ($126).
