While the shop is closed to the public, the store is using mediums such as the 'FaceTime' app to allow customers to browse their diverse second-hand book range remotely.
"We have all these wonderful titles in store and because they are second-hand, you're bound to get more value for your money," Sofala Book Shop owner Anna Clark said.
"All books have been sanitised prior to being placed on shelves and since COVID-19 hit, we've been changing gloves to prepare each individual order."
"The beauty of the 'FaceTime' method is that you can still view all our titles and browse the store via appointment."
Ms Clark said most books cost around $2 each, and can arranged to be delivered to Bathurst and surrounding areas.
"For residents who are concerned about leaving their homes, we can process transactions online and leave them on the front doorstep," she said.
Sofala Book Shop formerly traded under the name Slado's Recycled Books, and was based in Bathurst until 2016.
