With the COVID-19 situation and people staying at home, the centre would love photos of local women and girls, taken by local women and girls, that celebrate the supportive and admirable women around them.
Entries may be of a woman/girl in your household that you admire, a group image of the women and girls that you are sharing this difficult time with or a selfie/portrait demonstrating and celebrating your own resilience.
'I'd like to encourage all locals who identifies as female to enter this competition. Have fun with it, be creative and most of all celebrate the women in your life," Ann-marie Brittain, Health Promotion Worker at Central West Women's Health Centre said.
Entries will be judged by an online public vote and the winners will become part of a permanent display in the Centre as well as being included in the "Celebrating Women and Girls of Bathurst 2020" photo book, being created after the competition closes.
If you're thinking about entering the competition or voting for your favourite photo you can find information on how to enter or vote at www.cwwhc.org.au/news/celebrating-the-women-girls-of-bathurst-photo-competition/ or contact the centre on 6331 4133.
