Ahead of Friday's cold front wet weather were predicted and most towns received rain from Wednesday afternoon through to Thursday morning.
Orange received the most rain overnight with Bureau of Meteorology data showing the rain started falling at 1.30pm Wednesday and still hasn't stopped.

By 7.30am on Thursday 56.6 millimetres had been recorded.
Heavy rain also fell overnight in Cowra with 46.6mm recorded by 7.30am, while in Parkes 40.8mm was recorded.
The weather station at Bathurst Airport has received 35.6mm, Lithgow has had 33.4mm of rain while Forbes had 33.2mm.

Rain also fell in Dubbo (30.0mm) and Young (26.0mm), while Mudgee missed the heavy downpour with just 5mm recorded by 7.30am on Thursday.
There is a 90 per cent chance of continuing rain across most of the region on Thursday, with the chance of some rain on Friday.
