The Neighbourhood Centre will hold the free Emotional Intelligence for a Happier Family workshop, via Zoom, from 10am to 11am on Saturday, May 16.
It will be presented by career and life coach Clara Ferrari Bittencourt.
The aim will be to explain how to be more aware, make better choices and be more purposeful in parenting, rather than follow emotions and be reactionary.
A critical part of handling a crisis in families, according to Ms Bittencourt, is not to let anxiety and worry take over, but instead to create a safe space for everyone, especially for children.
Ms Bittencourt says her aim is to help people develop their full potential and feel more fulfilled and happy.
