Bathurst Regional Council is to be commended for using the time the pool is not in use to carry out much-needed maintenance work.

It would be encouraging to hear the next project for the pool complex would be the complete installation of solar power.

Solar power needs to be a priority for a facility used by many residents all year round.

This is a facility for local people and is not reliant on the tourists.

I look forward to hearing from the council the time frame for converting the whole complex to solar power.
