Bathurst City Centre has donated care packages filled with daily supplies to Bathurst Base Hospital, helping to ensure that health workers on the frontline have access to essential items while at work during the COVID-19 health crisis.

The packages included essential items from Woolworths such as tea, coffee, reheatable soup, snacks and pens.
A team of generous volunteers from the hospital then packaged these items into washable calico bags that hospital staff are encouraged to use while on shift.

"We are in awe of what our health workers are doing to help tackle this pandemic, and we wanted to do something practical that would help them get through their shifts," Mr Christian said.
"Our centre exists to serve the needs our community and we are proud to be able to do what we can to help frontline staff who are working tirelessly to help the most vulnerable during this challenging time.
"As the old adage goes, a little thanks goes a long way."
Bathurst Base Hospital medical registrar Dr Astrid Gardner said hospital staff really appreciated the support shown to them by the community and local businesses.
"It really makes us feel like all of Bathurst are helping us in these difficult times and really helps boost morale," Dr Gardner said.
"Thank you for thinking of us, we really appreciate it."
