The Bathurst-based Strandbags store originally shut its doors on March 27 due to a drop in trade due to the coronavirus, with the overall chain deciding to shut its stores until further notice.
But on Thursday, manager Aprille Griffin got the call she had been waiting for - Strandbags could open back up again.
She said it's a good feeling to be open and trading again.
"It's so good," she said.
"We got the call on Thursday that we could open and I posted on the Bathurst Our Town Facebook page that we were open and all our loyalty members got sent an email.
"We're pumped to be back. Ladies like coming in to buy handbags each week."
Ms Griffin said it was important for the store to re-open ahead of Mother's Day, as it's the busiest time of the year outside of Christmas.
However, she doesn't expect to see a spike in travel bags.
"We're expecting to not see high sales in luggage but it is a good time to buy them as they are on sale," she said.
Strandbags will be open from 9am-5pm from Monday to Friday.
It's also open on the weekends, from 10am-4pm on Saturday and 10am-3pm on Sunday.
