Sargent is set to launch his first podcast on Wednesday, June 10, entitled The Convo.
The Convo will feature a host of local, national and international talents, and Sargent said the project has been in the works for a number of months.
"The Convo is all about conversations that educate, inspire and entertain," he said.
"During this particular point in time in the world, I think a lot of people are craving that sense of having a good conversation and learning something new."
Sargent cut his teeth on radio with local broadcaster 2BS, and hosted his own programs while completing his final years at St Stanislaus College.
Last year, Sargent was named the Best Newcomer on Air in country areas at the Australian Commercial Radio Awards.
Sargent said the podcast will feature an insightful mix of talents.
"Everyone from well-known Australian identities to locals with unique stories will be featured on the podcast," he said.
"There may even be a Broadway star, but all will be revealed in due course."
Sargent, who is also a talented musician and performer, used his winnings from previous Bathurst Eisteddfod performances to save up for the right audio production gear.
He said the podcast will appeal to a wide audience, from people in their mid-teens to senior citizens.
"I think you can learn something from everyone you strike a conversation with, and some people may motivate you to achieve your full potential," he said.
