Kennedy started the season in the Sharks' number one jumper after regular custodian Matt Moylan was ruled out with injury.
Though Moylan made his return off the interchange bench in Saturday night's loss to Wests Tigers, he was used at lock and halfback and Kennedy played the full 80 minutes as fullback.
That match also saw halfback Chad Townsend leave the field with a hamstring injury. He is in doubt for this Saturday's match against the Cowboys.
Moylan shapes as a possible replacement at number seven if Townsend is ruled out, which should see Kennedy remain at fullback.
"You'd think he'd be in some sort of doubt [this] week if he couldn't finish the game with a hamstring complaint," Morris said of Townsend.
"I'd have to say Chad would be 50-50 at best. With a hamstring, you don't normally turn them around within a week.
"So if that's the case, Moyz [Moylan] would slot back into the halves.
"We have got limited depth around our halves, [but] Will Kennedy, he has been quite good the first couple of games for us, so we've got a few options there around our spine."
The Sharks will name their team on Tuesday afternoon for the match with the Cowboys at Townsville.
