Restrictions on non-essential travel throughout NSW were lifted on Monday and with a number of states and territories standing firm on border closures, residents are being encouraged to safely explore their own state.
Burgess Caravan Centre owner Daryl Duffy said the business has seen a steady flow of customers in the last few weeks.
"We shut the store to the public for about a month during the height of COVID-19 restrictions and in the weeks since, we've been kept fairly busy with insurance and service works," Mr Duffy said
"Everyone's itching to get away, but a lot of people in this area regularly holiday in Queensland, which is still closed."
While the business does have second-hand caravans for sale on a consignment basis, Mr Duffy said the business is primarily centred around the sale of spare parts and repairs.
"We've had a lot of customers come in to purchase spare parts, but it's important to note we're consistently busy, even in times of normalcy," he said.
Mr Duffy said the next few months of caravan travel will depend on how each state and territory goes about reopening their borders.
"There's also the risk of a second virus outbreak, which may encourage travellers to stay at home longer to ensure they don't get stranded elsewhere," he said.
