THOSE who have been to Melbourne during the past 14 days are not being allowed to enter Bathurst Hospital and others across the region as a visitor.
"Visitors to any of our hospitals or health services should check in advance to make sure they know and understand the rules at that time, and follow the directions of staff," Western NSW Local Health District public health director Priscilla Stanley said.
"Visitors may not enter if they have returned from overseas in the last 14 days, returned from the greater Melbourne area in the last 14 days or have been in contact with a person confirmed to have COVID-19 within the last 14 days."
The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Victoria is continuing to surge with more than 250 new cases detected during the past week alone.
