CSU Mitchell Rugby's 50 year anniversary celebrations off the field have had to be cancelled, as part of a season of unexpected challenges, but one thing certain to give the club a boost is the unveiling of their slick jerseys to commemorate the half century mark.

The club still have a New Holland Agriculture Cup competition to look forward to in the men's competition and a Westfund Ferguson Cup women's campaign ahead of them, and they're freshly geared up for the occasion.
CSU have gone for a mustard-dominant strip this season, unveiling the different jerseys via their Facebook page throughout the week, starting with the second grade men.
The second grade jersey is a brand new design which goes for a series of small blue and black strips, while the first grade men's and women's jerseys are based on an early jersey from the club's history, adopting a thick black band through the middle split by a blue stripe.
Club vice-president Daniel Adamson said it's great to bring the 'mustard' back for the occasion.
"We got to do a little photoshoot on Monday through one of our great sponsors Gunthers Lane who took photos and sent them through to us. The team really liked getting the photos done and the response was great on social media," he said.
"The first grade jersey is a representation of the 1971 jersey that we wore in our second year as a club and when we were going to have our old Mitchell Day in May we had a white alternate strip, but we'll save them for next year."
CSU also took the opportunity to update their second grade jerseys which haven't undergone a change for several years.
"Just a few members of the exec got together to design it and I think they came out really great," Adamson said.
"We thought it'd be great to really get the mustard colour out there, since that's what we're called, and we're really happy with them."
Coronavirus almost got in the way of the club getting their new jersey in time but the wait was worthwhile.
Adamson said the club couldn't be happy with the end product.
"We went with Gilbert this year and we're happy with how they've come out. We've only had them for two weeks but they're ready for the first game next weekend," he said.
