The Bureau of Meteorology's MetEye is forecasting widespread snow for regions around Bathurst as well, including Orange, Blayney, Oberon, Lithgow and the Blue Mountains.
Forecast also indicates snowfall right through to Crookwell, across the ACT and down into the Snowy Mountains.
Snow in the Bathurst area will be at its widespread most around 7am on Saturday morning, before easing off by early afternoon.
The snow is set to come as the maximum temperature plummets later this week, with a high of just seven degrees on Thursday and Friday and five degrees on Saturday.
Bathurst has already received a healthy drop of rain in recent days too, with 19.6 millimetres recorded since the early hours of Thursday morning.
Bathurst has already received a total of 36.4 millimetres so far this August.
