Alannah, 14, has implemented her textile and design skills to create an assortment of covers in a variety of patterns.
Her creations have already generated plenty of interest, with nearly 100 sold already throughout Bathurst and parts of Sydney.
"I've been making trolley covers since the pandemic began, and it started as something to do in my spare time while schools were shut," Alannah said.
"I found someone on the internet who was doing the same thing, and I felt they would come in handy for people after that extra bit of protection while doing their shopping."
Alannah has been selling the trolley covers for $7 each.
The covers are adjustable for a range of different trolleys, and are able to be cleaned in the washing machine.
Alannah has also made a series of lavender bags for residents at Oak Tree Retirement Village to assist with their health and wellbeing.
"In these hard times, I wanted to let the residents know there's people in the community who are thinking of them," she said.
"Due to COVID-19, a lot of the residents haven't been able to see their families in person, so I felt it was necessary to bring them some happiness."
Alannah said she's gracious for all the positive feedback she has received thus far for her projects.
"It's been nice to receive so many letters of thanks from members of the community who are appreciative of the products," she said.
"I've started to make face masks as well, but I'm intending to continue with the trolley covers as they've proven popular."
Alannah's trolley covers and various other creations are regularly posted for sale online via the Bathurst Buy, Swap and Sell Facebook page.
