Police, paramedics and fire crews all responded to calls saying a bike had collided with a car, on Stocklands Drive, adjacent to the Good Guys warehouse.
A spokesperson for NSW Ambulance said they received a number of calls from witnesses, and on arrival found the patient, a teenage male aged 18, with serious leg injuries.
ALSO MAKING NEWS:
Police and fire crews remained at the scene, with Stockland Drive closed to traffic, which was diverted around the scene.
The bike remained wedged under the body of the SUV as crash investigators from Chifley Police District remained on scene establishing exactly how the crash occurred.
Debris from the car was also scattered across the road's surface.
While it has yet to be determined if Wednesday's wet conditions were a contributing factor to the collision, with more rain and alpine conditions predicted in the coming days, police again took the opportunity to remind people to slow down and drive to the conditions.
Snow is forecast across the region this weekend, including higher areas around Bathurst as well as Orange and Lithgow, and is expected to continue until Sunday.
